Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using SLP Schedule (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SLP Schedule is a scheduling tool for school-based speech-language pathologists. It helps organize student caseloads, form therapy groups, and generate weekly schedules. It is not a medical records system, clinical documentation tool, or IEP management platform.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Your Responsibilities

You agree that:

• You have the authority to enter any student data you provide to the Service, consistent with your role and your school or district’s policies.
• You are responsible for complying with applicable laws and regulations, including FERPA, when using the Service.
• You will not use the Service for any purpose other than organizing and scheduling speech therapy caseloads.
• You will not attempt to access another user’s data or circumvent the Service’s security measures.

5. Student Data

You (or your school/district) are the data controller for any student information entered into the Service. We act as a data processor and will only use student data to provide the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle data.

If your school or district requires a Data Processing Agreement (DPA), please contact us at privacy@slpschedule.com.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not:

• Use the Service to store data unrelated to speech therapy scheduling
• Share your account with others or allow unauthorized access
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, disassemble, or interfere with the Service
• Use automated means to scrape or extract data from the Service

7. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend or modify the Service at any time for maintenance, updates, or other reasons. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SLP Schedule and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SLP Schedule and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or regulation.

10. Account Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon account deletion, all associated data (including student records, schedules, and groups) is permanently removed.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by placing a prominent notice in the application. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in accordance with applicable federal and state law.
